My job at the Anti-Cruelty Society

I started working for the Anti-Cruelty Society in February 2007, since than my life has been for filled with the love of animals, as of now it always rains cats and dogs with a beautiful rainbow at the end since I have been working for the Anti-Cruelty Society. I also learn that it is only not just my job as being a receptionist of answering questions and directing calls and talking to the people on and off the phone, it is the love and care to find that people love these animals so much that they are willing to adopt and extend them to be on of there family members. I learn how to care for your pets and also there is a lot of interesting history behind the Anti-Cruelty Society. The Anti-Cruelty Society has been caring for animals in Chicago since 1899. During that time, our building has undergone many changes, but our mission has remained the same: It started out that a Women’s club formed a charitable organizations and reform committees in response to the needs of the city animal population. The choices you make effect not only your animal, but the welfare of other animals in the community as well. Often, choices made in “the best interest of the animal, “are, many times made in the best interest of the person.” Unfortunately, the animals are often the ones who suffer the consequences. Caring for animals means being part of the solution, particularly spaying or neutering your pet.
